Ingredients

6 bacon strips, cut into 1-inch pieces1/2 cup chopped onion3 garlic cloves, minced1 can (28 ounces) baked beans1 can (16 ounces) kidney beans, rinsed and drained1 can (16 ounces) butter beans, rinsed and drained1/3 cup packed brown sugar1/4 cup ketchup2 tablespoons Dijon mustard1/2 teaspoon chili powder1/2 teaspoon pepper

Preparation

In a large skillet, partially cook the bacon. Remove with a slotted spoon to paper towels. Drain, reserving 1 tablespoon drippings. In the drippings, saute onion and garlic until tender. In a large bowl, combine the beans, onion mixture and bacon. Stir in the brown sugar, ketchup, mustard, chili powder and pepper.

Transfer to a greased 2-qt. baking dish. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 50-60 minutes or until bubbly.
