Ingredients
3 cups chopped Vidalia or other sweet onion (about 1 large)2 cups shredded Swiss cheese2 cups mayonnaise1/4 cup prepared horseradish1 teaspoon hot pepper sauceFresh coarsely ground pepper, optionalAssorted crackers or fresh vegetables
Preparation
Preheat oven to 375°. In a large bowl, mix the first 5 ingredients. Transfer to a deep-dish pie plate.
Bake, uncovered, until edges are golden brown and onion is tender, 25-30 minutes. If desired, sprinkle with pepper. Serve warm with crackers.
