Ingredients
2 tbsp. olive oil
1 onion
2 stalk celery
3 clove garlic
2 tsp. dried thyme
2 tsp. dried oregano
1 stick cinnamon
kosher salt

1 1/4 lb. lean ground turkey
3 c. low-sodium marinara sauce
12 oz. whole-wheat linguine
tsp. ground nutmeg
chopped fresh basil
grated Parmesan
Preparation
Step 1Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion, celery and garlic; cook, covered, stirring occasionally, for 6 minutes. Add the thyme, oregano, cinnamon, and 1/4 teaspoon each salt and pepper; cook, stirring, for 1 minute.Step 2Add the turkey and cook, breaking it up with a spoon until no longer pink, about 5 minutes. Add the marinara sauce and 1/2 cup water and simmer until the mixture is slightly thickened and the turkey tender, 20 to 25 minutes.Step 3Meanwhile, cook the pasta according to package directions. Drain the pasta and return it to the pot.Step 4Discard the cinnamon from turkey mixture, stir in the nutmeg and toss with the pasta. Serve with basil and Parmesan, if desired.
