6 cups chicken or turkey broth2 cans (14-1/2 ounces each) diced tomatoes, undrained1/3 cup quick-cooking barley1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes1 teaspoon salt1/2 teaspoon garlic powder1/2 teaspoon dried oregano1/2 teaspoon dried basil1/4 teaspoon pepper2 cups cubed cooked turkey1-1/2 cups sliced carrots1-1/2 cups sliced celery1 medium onion, chopped1 cup chopped green pepper1 package (10 ounces) frozen chopped okra
Preparation
In a large saucepan, combine the first nine ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 50 minutes. Add turkey and vegetables. Cover and simmer 50 minutes longer or until vegetables are tender.
