Ingredients
2 tablespoons butter, softened1/2 cup sugar1/2 teaspoon salt1 large egg2/3 cup whole milk1 teaspoon vanilla extract1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour3 teaspoons baking powderTOPPING:1/4 cup sugar2 tablespoons all-purpose flour1 tablespoon ground cinnamon1/4 cup cold butter
Preparation
Beat butter, sugar and salt in a small bowl until crumbly. Add the egg, milk and vanilla; mix well. Combine flour and baking powder; add to butter mixture. Transfer to a greased 8-in. square baking dish.
For topping, in a small bowl, combine the sugar, flour and cinnamon; cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle over batter.
Bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes. Serve warm if desired.
